Looks like it's just a generic steering wheel control gadget. Basically you wire it into the buttons. It uses wireless signals to control the HU on your car, meaning your HU has to accept wireless signals.
It won't give you the tachometer integration, just the button controls.

I know, I know: THREADS. But they don't talk about anybody having done it and the results thereof. Mine seems to jump in volume at times for whatever reason.
So if anybody has done this change and has the BOSE please post the outcome.

Well i had it done to 0, The stereo is louder. But not signifcantly better. at first i thought the dealer didnt change anything, but then when i slowed down it dosent lower

By the way; did you go directly to '0' or did you try the '3' setting first?

I'm kinda slow tonite. Am I to understand that getting the setting changed from 6 dB to 3 dB will affect even the BOSE AudioPilot?

BTW, on my Saab, the user can control this setting w/o dealer intervention.
