Looks like it's just a generic steering wheel control gadget. Basically you wire it into the buttons. It uses wireless signals to control the HU on your car, meaning your HU has to accept wireless signals.
It won't give you the tachometer integration, just the button controls.

The second is the Bose AudioPilot digital processing which helps compensate for unwanted ambient noise with no perceived change in audio volume.
I'm kinda slow tonite. Am I to understand that getting the setting changed from 6 dB to 3 dB will affect even the BOSE AudioPilot?Originally posted by Lynn

I know, I know: THREADS. But they don't talk about anybody having done it and the results thereof. Mine seems to jump in volume at times for whatever reason.
So if anybody has done this change and has the BOSE please post the outcome.
Thanx

Thanx. I agree that the stereo wouldn't get better. I was just trying to avoid those up and down volume changes when I come to a stop. I don't mind a little bit of change. I wish WE had control over it ourselves like so many other things.Originally posted by Mercedes

By the way; did you go directly to '0' or did you try the '3' setting first?

Changing the settings of the speed sensitive volume control will not effect the Bose Audiopilot.Originally posted by amdeutsch

I was just about to get excited. But if it doesn't integrate with the MFD, and it won't work with the CD-changer, fuggeddaboudit.

I had mine changed to "0" and it is better since the volume doesn't change and distort dynamics. Jeez, I hated that.Originally posted by Mercedes

BTW, on my Saab, the user can control this setting w/o dealer intervention.
