Many people have bought it and some actually damaged their ECU while others have seen no gains at all.

If you would like to try it then go ahead, but like someone said on this forum. Mercedes ECU are very tricky and complicated, if u damage it be prepared to cough up a big chunk of your salary. I dont take risks anymore, i suggest u do the same.
Bingo, it's just an IAT bypass. Lamest. Mod. Evar. I doubt it will hurt anything (the IAT sensor is just a thermistor that this "chip" bypasses with a set-value resistor), but I guarantee you in writing that it will not make any difference in power.

Save your $35 and buy the missus a nice dinner instead of throwing it away on a "chip" scam.

good lord, do some of you people live under a rock?
this is the same old, "trick your air sensor into seeing colder air", $0.35 resistor mod that used to be sold on ebay for $0.99 plus $8.00 shipping. its bull. it tricks your car into "seeing" cooler, denser air, so it throws a bit more gas in there too. what it is, typically, is a resistor of some specific value for your IAT sensor.

this has been around for ages, i remember when i was 18 and had my 84 300zx(twenty two now), i saw these on ebay and died laughing that yuppies were buying this *****..... come on man......

Hey B717U2,
I saw that myself. I don't know if it's official...I was thinking about doing it myself. I mean I took a look at their refund policy and everything, but I'm concerned if this could screw my baby (c240) up.

Do some Googling. It's a scam. And to the poster further up, yes, I've been living under a rock. This is the first car I've owned that wasn't just a pointA-to-pointB type car. So I'm learning.......albeit slowly.
