That's kinda what I was thinking. Would you guys try it if you were me? I have NO mods on my car, and about 15,000 miles. I'm only going to be out $30.00, which is not the issue. I just don't want to cause problems, or wreck the gas mileage that I currently get (meaning I don't want it to get worse).

The following was just sent to me in an email reply from these guys......

"Thank you for your email inquiry. The Rapid Velocity Performance Module was designed to work with your engine's IAT sensor. With both the module and the IAT sensor communicating to the ECM, there are signals sent to the ECM to change the state of the air/fuel mixture during many stages of the RPM range. This is where the engine is asking the ECM to increase more air to the air/fuel mixture to increase engine horsepower during combustion.

The Rapid Velocity Performance Module is installed to the existing wiring harness of your IAT or Intake Air Temp Sensor. We provide the installation instructions with each kit. It was designed to be a plug and play application. You will actually splice into your vehicle's IAT sensor using the scotchloks provided and directly plug in the Performance Module. Please locate your vehicle's IAT sensor prior to purchasing.

The average performance gains from past customers have been 12-15 additional HP. Others have reported gains of 35+. The average miles per gallon saved from past customers have been 2-5. You will not lose any MPG's. Performance gains vary upon individual driving habits as well as personal modifications to the vehicle. Please remember to include your vehicles make, model and year upon submitting payment, as this is the information we pay attention to upon shipping out the Kit. I hope that answers your questions. If you should have additional questions, please feel free to email us at rapidvelocityco@aol.com. We look forward to doing business with you soon.

Sincerely,
- rapidvelocityperformance

Even for $30? You wouldn't give it a shot? Buy with a credit card and if it's BS, get a refund or dispute the charge??

Another response. I asked specifically what they would do if I bought it, and thought it was B.S. after trying it.....

"Thank you for getting back to us. No worries, we completely understand your skepticism. This is why we offer a 100% Money Back Guarantee. That means if for ANY reason you are not 100% satisfied with the product, we will refund you your full refund including shipping & handling. We could not offer this guarantee if our product did not produce results. In addition, you are welcome to check out our eBay feedback from other happy customers. We hope this information helps. Again, if you have any additional questions, please feel free to email us...we are here to help."

I would certainly agree...

It's weird, with these scam ebay auctions, alot of the time I notice the positive feedbacks are given before the item is actually used.. In alot of his feedback, people actually specify positive results....

300E a couple 1994 w124wagon E320 Wagon/,1971MGB Track/Rally, MG Midget Autocross ,2000 E320 wagon.
Time and time

again people who buy snake oil are to deluded to understand they have been duped and give positive feed back.2 mpg by running the engine leaner?35 h.p. by adding more gas(richer)
35h.p. is a short shot of nitrous.
This thing is just another sprintbooster like product, any change it makes if any are going to be perceived as good by the chumps that buy into it,and a majority will not return it.That is why they have the warranty,so cheap they don't care if you return it,they make the profit on the sheep that don't !

Thinking about buying C200 kompressor AMG "Avantgarde"
its not legit, its all over ebay with a whole bunch of different names for it, pls dont buy it.

Im on many automotive foums and everyone one knows that those are just BS. its just a resistor in a nice casing. Trust me, i fell into that **** when i was 18 and bought it for my mirage. Comes with a diagram on how to install (generic car used as example). These things never have REAL "proven" dyno graphs.Does not work period.

The original design back in the days was created by someone who was a tuner, and he played around with the ecu and figured out that if you change the inlet air temp by either increasing the resistance or lowering it that it will change the amount of power produced. Now the idea of this device is the same, it changes the voltage of the iAT, tricking it, making your ecu believe that the air coming in is colder than what it actually is. Many people have bought it and some actually damaged their ECU while others have seen no gains at all.

If you would like to try it then go ahead, but like someone said on this forum. Mercedes ECU are very tricky and complicated, if u damage it be prepared to cough up a big chunk of your salary. I dont take risks anymore, i suggest u do the same.
