First off - RTFM. Now that we have that out of the way; the red dials turn the vents on and off. the middle blue dial allows cool air to vent if you have the heater on. Keeps your face from getting fried.

Hmmm. I've got the center blue wheel, but my side ones to control on/off are white, not red. Is this a C230 thing. I've got a 2002 C240.

E320 CDI Elegance auto
Hi
Does anyone know how to stop the windscreen misting up when in auto mode but also economy mode. I cannot seem to be able to do this without the full air con on, I dont really want to waste fuel having the full system on in the autumn or winter. Or is this yet another fault with the C class.

I have RTFM and I still can't figure out what the distribution dial does, I know what it should do but it doesn't seem to make a difference. If I shut the blue dial (in a C240) the air that comes out of the vents is still cold. The only place that seems to push out hot air is the floor vents. I have slowly turned the distribution dial around with my hand over the vents but nothing changes! Any ideas?

MarkL, That's what I thought, but no matter what I do the distribution knob doesn't seem to do anything. I'm bringing my car in next Wed because of the ESP/BAS messages and I'm going to have them check the heat also. I have a feeling something is wrong with it. Thanks
