Nope Cloudz and I have them, and i dont believe he is having any issues with his either. Try re-installing them, there should be no error msg at all.

Not to mention they have a 1 yr that they HONOR! i sent back some wiring that melted, paid for shipping, and they sent me back new wiring. Wasn't even their fault either.

Na no need for any resetting. Its plug and play. and yeah if you get the 8k's you will def wanna get projectors. IMHO the 8k looks amazing with projectors. Good luck,

MTEC on the FRITZ! Please help
I have an MTEC 8k kit installed right now... outwardly, it performs beautifully. However the computer freaks out: "ABS Module Failure" + "ESP Display Failure" + "Brake Wear, Please See Shop" + the speedometer stops displaying the vehicle speed.
If I allow the bulbs to get up to full operating intensity, turn off the lights, and then turn them back on, all of the errors go away. The errors return the next time I turn on the lights. After three complete engine start-stop cycles (key on, engine start, lights on, lights off, engine off, key removed), the "check engine" light comes on and stays on for any additional start-stop cycles.
Obviously, this ruins the MB experience. Does anyone here know what might cause all of this? Most other people seem to be error-free with this same installation. Thanks ahead of time for your help. I'm new to all of this.

Hi. I am planning on getting an MTEC kit myself on Ebay.
I have a 2001 C240 sedan and still equipped with Halogen.
Do you mind if I ask the following questions?
1) Did the xenon bulbs fit correctly on the halogen socket. What I mean is that when you take out the H7 Halogen bulb, do you just insert the xenon bulb and itt will fit perfectly?
2) Mine still comes with the halogen headlamp housing and I would presume that it is using reflector type housing (I cannot be sure). Did you have to do any modification at all to your housing or did you just insert the xenon bulb using your original halogen housing? I wanted to make sure that you can use a xenon bulb on a halogen headlamp housing without probably causing a lot of distraction to oncoming traffic. From what I have read, xenon bulbs are supposed to use projector type housing (again I cannot be sure).
3) Where did you attach the ballast?
4) Was there any complications on the wiring at all?
Thanks for all your help.

2) you're correct, regular housings might produce a glare that can blind on coming traffic and the cars in front of you. it's better to use a projector for your hid setup as you can aim the cutoff line
3) i ziptied one to my car, and screwed in the other.
4) nope, plug and play. just connect the plugs to the correct socket and you should be fine

I have MTEC HID 6000K kit one week ago installed and the look great! The installation took me about 1 hour. You don't have to cut anything, all cables fit exactly. It is very very simple to install them.No fault error! The only thing that will take you more time is to find a good place for the ballasts, because there is not enough space in W203.
