Smart Key

I was reading my owners manual and it says that the windows and sunroof can be opened/closed with the smart key. I tried it though and it doesn't seem to work on my 05 203. Is this standard on the cars or optional?

I believe this is a standard feature, but I don't know if it matters where you try it from. I have only used that feature on the driver side and I was just a few feet away. It does take like 10-15 seconds for my car to respond as I am holding the lock or unlock button.

just is like 3 feet away from the car, and level ur car with the handel, you have to be pretty close to do that.

The point is that you can let all the heat out the car before you get in on hot summer days and if you ever forget to close the sunroof or any windows you you can roll them up without getting in the car.

I can get mine to work from about 10 feet away, driver side only. Its useful in the summer, since my car has the black interior, it can get pretty toasty. It does let the heat out pretty quickly. I'd say 50% of the time, it doesnt respond on my first press, but it does on the second.

Same here, I can trigger the windows to open from about 10 feet away. But you do need a clean line of sight to the driver side door panel. Kind of a bummer since I work at a large company and the car is usually parked among others and the feature will not work until I'm next to the car.

Sorry its still retarded, how much heat are you going to let out in the 15 seconds it takes to open the door and sit down. Funny that Nissan has the same thing and you can do it from a pretty far distance. Sorry but MB missed the boat on this one. I like my little 230 but this is a feature I will get little use out of.
