c class wheel spacers
I'm ready to buy Carlsson 1/5 too. I'm thinking about stagger or not. 255/35/18 seam too big for the C240. I might I go 245/35/18 instead.
zspeed - i have gone 255/35/18 kuhmo 712 tires (for sale actually, less 3k on them) in the rear on a 18x9 wheel (amg mono 2) they are not too wide. it is the perfect aggressive look that you are probably looking for. any wider than this will rub. i ran this with no spacer. setup - 18x8, x9 rear. tires- 225/40 fr , 255/35 rr.

any GTG in Htown for Benz folks (pref. C/CLK class?). I have 235/40/17s on 17x8s and the front looks great but Buellwinkle suggested I get some H&R spacers for rears. He's got 10mm but he stated I should get 15mm. Can some of u guys with spacers post some pics? thanks.
whatever your tire size is (eg235/40/18) just add another 20mm spacer and you'll get 255/40/18. i have 225/40/18, so i think i'll get the 20mm spacer also.
it doesn't work that way, lets see if i can explain it.
if you run a 255 tire (no spacer) that runs evenly.
if you run 235 plus a 20mm spacer , your adding that 20mm only to one side . not evenly. so actually you would be running 275. 20 to the outside (with spacer) and 20 on the inside ( air space cuz the spacer pushed it away from the hub. get it?
i think that is right. so if you run 225 plus 20mm spacer, then its actually... 265. no RUB.
then 255-225(what i have)=30mm/2=15mm???
so is it 15mm spacer for a 225/40r18 on 18x8 rims for the REAR? and that also equates to bolts 15mm longer?
your right!

correct. a 15mm spacer on a 225 will give u the look of 255.
viktorious,
use a 5-10mm in front and a 15mm in rear.
5 will push your offset to about 38-40 in the front.
and 15mm will push the rear offset to about 32-35 .
now you just need bolts! add the mm of the spacer to the original bolt to the wheels you have and your set.
