No sound from the Radio..after a few days it works now..WTH?

I have an 05 c230 and over the weekend there was no sound coming from the radio. Visually, it looks like everything is working on the radio. Every button works just no sound when I adjust the volume. I did notice that I lost the "surround" option in the sound settings. I tried banging lightly on the radio just to see if that would readjust something but no go. Tried the mute/unmute botton but no go there either. So I just left it alone and was just gonna take it to the dealer today. Then this morning I start the car and now there's sound. My "surround" option came back. Obviously now that it's working, there's no point taking it to the dealer. So I'm hoping maybe someone else here have seen this before. I take it I will need a new radio? Or is there something else on the car that might have contributed to it? TIA..

Would that be everyone else's observation as well?
Really goddamn annoying though.
I had it happen to me three times, and the sound always was back a day later. When I brought it to the dealership one time I told them about the problem. They could not mimic the problem so they replaced a little fuse if I am correct. Ever since the problem never came back. It has been over 2 years now.
*knock on wood*
I went to a indy with a star computer, my car stored no codes =/
So they cleared it all for me, and told me that if it happens again, go straight to the dealer and get it checked, and file something to show that you've had a complaint against this.
So take it to the dealer.

. Anyway here's the scoop on mine. Initially the amp was replaced by the dealer under warranty. Was a complete waste cause a few months later, it did it again. And to top it off the sub grill rattling got worse while it was working. So I tried searching again and found a more current post saying it could be a fuse. Turns out, that's what it was. Loose fuse in the driver side fuse bay. I believe it was a 25amp fuse. I just took it out, put it back in and it started working again. Made sure it was securely in there. It's been well over a year and a half and it hasn't happened since. The Best of Mercedes & AMG
