An hours worth of labor should be around 45-60 bucks at an independent shop. Dealer would probably charge you an $100+.

I just bought new front pads, rotors, and sensors from the dealership. I was thinking of installing them myself, but felt too lazy. I had my Service Advisor at the dealership install them for $100.00.

Just an FYI. Installation is less than 2 minutes per side once the wheel is off. If you are a little handy you can save a lot of money and install the pads yourself. The installation procedure is so insanely easy it is not funny. Pads are held in with two pins that pop out and the pad slides right out.

I understand if you are not handy so figure a shop will charge you a minimum of one hour labor to do the job for you. Good luck with it.

The only reason it would be difficult to do yourself would be if you have let them wear to the point that the rotor has a large lip on both sides and the piston will need to be compressed before you can slide the pads out. I just did a buddies car two weeks ago that was like that. Not that is was difficult, but you had to use a screw driver or small pry bry to wiggle the pads apart to get the piston to compress a little. Added maybe 15 minutes a hub to an hour long job. Now if you plan on replacing the rotors at the same time, add another hour as you will need to remove the calipers to get the old rotors off and the new ones on. If you have over 20k miles on the old rotors, I would replace them as you have probably used up more than half of them anyway.

And while you are at it, you can add another couple of hours and have custom painted calipers to boot!
