What is it ??? 2003 C180K ???
I never heard of it, Can't find it in MB USA site but here it is:
a 2003 Mercedes-Benz C180K COUPE available from Claridge's in Bay area. And the specs are like our 2002 C-Coupe. So weird !!!

In the rest of the world, coupes are sold with three gasoline engines and one Diesel. For 2003, which this car is, all engines are 1.8 liters in various states of tune.
The C180k has 143 horsepower, the C200k has 163 hp and the C230k has 192. The stated hp figures are DIN (European), SAE (US) hp are slightly lower since 1hp DIN = 0.986 hp SAE.
In the VIN number, the RN40 indicates the car is a C180k. C230k's are RN47.

i thought there is a C180, and a C180k.
like Lynn said, the new 1.8 engine is used in all the four cyclinder models. C180k, C200k, and C230k all have the same engine running different compression and boost. MB said the new engine is much smoother and fuel efficient than the previous 2.3, 2.0, and 1.8 engines.

I'm curious how this car ended up in the US since it's not normally available in either the US, Canada or Mexico (although the 200K is available in Mexico). I wouldn't think that it would be emissions approved. Wonder if one somehow got loaded on the boat by accident?

This is what I meant but haven't gotten around to ask.
Claridge's has many of these available and I wonder how could it be? I thought all coupe are badged as C230K even if the motor is of 180 displacement. Ang again if mis-badged these are 2003 coupe which should all be installed with the 180K instead of the 2.3 as advertised. Double error?
