aftermath of install(s)

I put my asp pulley and RennTech intercooler on yesterday, but its raining here so can't really push it,i was expecting a lot more,i guess i had really high expectations from all the hype the main guys that got it done first. It was dynoed stock at 161 at the wheels and after intercooler and pulley it went to 177 at the wheels and also mine is a auto which u also lose 5% off the bat,but iwas also told to drive it hard for the next week, the cars is suppose to adapt, and a new dyno next friday will hopefully have a significant gain in hp,i also took out the platnium plugs and put in copper ones to run cooler, and this dyno was with a K&n filter

Just a thought on the dyno. It was a wet rainy day. If you had the ESP on and the wheels slipped slightly on the dyno and the ESP pulled back power, maybe even applied brakes that may account for a poor dyno run. Even if you tires weren't wet but the person on the dyno earlier had wet tires it might have happened. Another thought I had, was your automatic in Winter mode? Don't know if that would have any effect but you may have put it in that mode because of the weather.

Hopefully tomorrow you can turn the ESP off and lay some tracks.

I never dynoed my car after the ASP pulley installation, but my seat-of-the-pants dynamometer can attest: huge improvement over stock. Nothing to regret about, especially given the bargain price paid for this pulley. I really don't care much about 0-60 (although I have killed a couple of Integras since) - the coupe's dynamic characteristics at highway speed is what I like the best! Totally different car - it just feels right, no less. Its passing power now is absolutely fantastic. An S4 couldn't pull away from me a couple of months ago (I know the guy was trying).

As a practical advice - let the ECU learn you new configuration, then dyno it again. I hope you had disconnected the battery when installing pulley - that would help reset the ECU. So, give it some time and then enjoy it!

If you didn't disconnect the battery when installing, do it now. Leave it disconnected for a couple minutes, i forget how long it has to be, and then hook it back up. Then I think give it at least 100 miles for the ECU to learn the extra boost and then do your dyno.

Do you need to dissconnect the battery when installing EVO's underdrive pulleys on a C240 C320??
