Can the non sport c240 reinforcement be retrofitted for the AMG bumper?
Is this possible?
Im doing the conversion and want to know if it's necessary to get the amg reinforcement.

It didn't seem like a perfect fit for the one I just did..? You have to "disregard" a few parts of your stock C240 reinforcement to make things work...

Depends on if it is an early or late AMG bumper. There is more then one. There is one from 2001-2004, then one from 2005-2007. The late model one needs its own support. I found this out the hard way. That is why Im selling the whole package. The early one requires some triming but will work.

Can you guys tell me if this is an early one or late one? the shop wont know whether it is or not and the info on the bumper is not there. here are some pictures if you could help me out. thanks again

ok what you need to do is Get the VIN number from the CAR the bumper came off of. then go to the dealer with the vin number and tell them u need the reinforcement for that car NOT YOUR CAR. and you should be fine. thats what i did!

or you can just go to a reputable shop and maybe they can work some magic and fit it on. that's how i did mines

The part number should be stamped on the inside on the left lower corner. From there we could check epc to see which one it is. That is why I am including everything with mine. Make it easy for the next person.
