anyone ever had acceleration clicking noises?

anyone ever had acceleration clicking noises?
took my car to dealership yesterday, because my engine had this annoying clicking noise everytime I rapidly step on the pedal and accelerate. this noise would only appear for about 1 sec. then it disappears. then I accelerate again it would be there agian for like 1 sec. and disappears again. Did anyone ever had this problem? Please let me know. thanx

yeah my girls car's got the same problem its driving me crazy everytime she says that did you fixwd it do you know what it was?

what kind of gas is being put in the car? possibly crappy gas is the cause???

that's what i was thinking- bad gas or lower octane than you should have. or, depending in mileage- might be carbon build up on the piston tops. both could cause the noise you are talking about (spark knock/detonation).

not necessarily- spark knock IS detonation. it doesn't exactly mean the plugs are the problem.

i'm also not sure spark knock is the original poster's problem- just a suggestion/the first thing that came to mind.

do you mean the serp. belt- the belt that drives the alt., ps pump, water pump, etc?
