I'm hardwiring my Valentine 1. I just ran the phone cord from the rear view mirror area, back through the headliner, and to the fuse box in the trunk.
I used the wire attachment supplied from V1 on one of my other vehicles, so I don't have it to use on this car. Does anyone have any suggestions on how they've connected theirs in the fuse box. Also when you look in the V1 power adabpter, there are 4wires that match up to the phone cable. Which ones would be ground and which ones would be hot.
Thanks,
Adam

i connected my radar detector to the fuse box under the hood, that way my radar detector turns on when i start the car. I just pushed the wire through the fire wall into the engine bay, and then connected it to an empty fuse location. I think i put it on the tele-aid fuse.

In the fuses section of any auto parts store, look for the small box of spade lug connecters (3 per card, as I remember) Just crimp to the wire and plug in. Slots 6 or 7 in the rear fuse block are switchable with the ignition. Also, no need to run both a lead and ground to the trunk. Connect the ground at the dash fuse box, and run just the lead wire to the trunk.

MBob,
You were saying connect the ground in the dash. The V1 power supply has 4 wire connections in it that line up with the wire connections on a phone cord. Wouldn't one or two of these be the ground? Because if that's the case, is easier just to plug the phone cord into the detector, and ground it in the back where I plug into the fuse box.
Thanks man,
Adam
