Overhead control panel hum

Couldn't get my post to go through.

That's called the aspirator motor, and Richard is right. It takes the interior air and blows it past the temperature sensor so that the climate control knows the temperature of the interior. I don't know why it runs even with the car off. Looks like I'm going to have to do a little research at work tomorrow. I'm curious too.

Thanks for responding, I know you were having problems posting to the other thread about this issue. I am curious to find out why it runs also, unless it functions to help out the rest feature.
