Problem with my C320, made it limping to the house
Was driving from the beach to my house (this is my wife's car) 2002 C320.
It was a fast twisty mountain road, no cars at all (its a back road) was having fun driving fast on the twisties, using the shifter to downshift gears and upshift, this section is like 20 minutes or more.
Everthing went fine, then thru the slower sections with traffic, I started to feel that 3rd gear will no auto upshift, then put it in D and upshifted, I contnued and then 10 minutes later the car is sputtering like if I had no fuel, it will only go very slow and when there was an uphill it wouldnt go, I switch off the car , re started and was fine again , then the same problem again, but now was every minute, I barely made it to my house at 5 mph and 2 bloks from my house the check engine light came on.
Now the car is on its way to the car shop.
Any ideas what could this be?
Hope I didnt damage the car by chaching gears abd sport driving it.
