Car trouble... problem solved. :)
Hi all,
So I posted a few weeks ago about a cold weather starting problem..... https://mbworld.org/forums/c-class-w203/224196-car-trouble-anybody-have-some-advice.html .....
I brought the car in and described problem to them.... the dealer had it for 2 full days... investigated a possible recall problem having to do with the catalytic converter which ended up being fine..... they actually had to replace the ECU and program the latest software onto it.... and they also replaced the left turn mirror which had moisture in the clear signal lense...
Just thought I'd tell anyone interested.... specifically about the "recall" They did not send me any notice of this recall in the mail.... maybe because it was just newly announced, at least anyone here can look into it and see if you also need any servicing.
All is good now, and It starts up just fine in the cold...... Not even a year old and the ECU had to be replaced.. wow.
At least it was all under warranty and I got a courtesy car to use.
