AC Blower motor squeaking when coooold.
Well, winter has hit St. Louis, and I've been dealing with an really annoying whine coming out of my AC vents when the blower fan is set anywhere in the middle.
I have heard rumor that it's the delrin bushing from the blower motor, or perhaps a shim.
Questions:
1) Has anyone had this happen?
2) Any ideas on resolution?
3) Is this the same blower that supercharges my motor?
(ok, number 3 isn't a real question)

funny stuff.. your 3rd question definitly made me laff :word
anyways, your guess of it only being a shim/bearing is probably correct.
but if you can, you should probably get together with bumpnzx3 over the weekend. he knows a lot about your car and may be able to solve this issue for you.

I don't know of any local junk yards that have high end/late model cars. A new blower from the dealer would probably be a lot of money. You might be able to put a couple drops of oil on it to quiet it down. I don't know which direction would be easiest to get to it from- from under the hood (take the cabin filter housing off), or to go at it from the passenger foot well (take the plastic trim off above your feet). When I was doing my stereo install I remember seeing the blower motor- but I can't picture the specifics of how it was mounted.

haha.. hopefully my keyboard drawing comes out properly on the board... but if you life up your cabin air filter housing/batt cover and look directly in front of you.. should be a white wheel, like bump said try some oil 'lube' first. drip a little wd-40 on the tip of the nut that holds the wheel on.. try to use a liberal amount that way it can find its way down the shaft and hopefully into creases.. you may have to go inside and under your dash to get it completely, but start from here!
