CL203
the front end is great, but not good enough to compensate for the ugly back. the profile is nice and so are the rims... but the back is too american looking. i'm happy with my coupe

i just hope that since they are reusing a lot of the same frame... that hopefully there will be some more aftermarket parts that we can fit onto our cl203's

Talk about lazy design.....the rear is basically the same, looks like they just colored the top part of the rear body colour.

c230 Kompressor Coupe
Wow, I'm actually surprised that it came out the way it did. I like it a lot, both the rear and front. Although I dont like the rear taillight because it similarly looks like the old one and the LED brake light is kinda long.

I like it, we need a new second car, if the price is right and they offer the newer diesels then I might just look at one of these over a 120d 3 door. The only problem is the 120d is a very good car especially with the M sport pack and the diesel is a cracker, better than the MB C220 motor.

And look at how ugly that turned out, I think the new look is a disaster, the prefacelift car is much better looking. They have done a good job on the CLC it looks better than the old model.

SL is a facelift...not slapping on new entire new skin and calling it a new car.

Putting a completely different 2009 style front end on a 2003-2008 model to me is slapping on half an entire new skin and calling it the new 2009 SL roadster...I guess you dont see that.

Either way this model looks better, while the new SL looks mismatched.

the made the front end changes to fit the 6.3 V8 for the AMG model. looks like the facelift to me. they didn't change the tail light just the rear bumper. it's much like the C55 got the CLK nose to fit the V8.

I think the rear looks like chit.

BUT, I would like to retro fit the command, cluster and steering wheel into my car... Aside from that, I don't see very many differences from the 05+ w203's...

I was going to say the rears look like the Lexus LS's. I like the design for the gauges.

I thought the SL was changed due to EU safety standards? Either way I would want to see a full exterior skin change rather then seeing them changing half a car very aggresively only to leave the other half, interior and drivetrain untouched. I was going to buy another SL but now feel like I have to look to other brands for a replacement.

I still think this new CLC looks like an inprovement...the rear 3rd brake light is a bit too long though

either way, for cars like the SL that MB doesn't really make a profit on after turning them into production it'll be around for a long time with 2-3 facelifts for sure before a completely new model arrives. just looked at how many little changes has been made for the previous SL that was sold for 13 years.

however for the CLC...they should've built it off the w204 instead of just slapping on new sheet metal front and rear and calling it a new car. Audi did this with the B6 and B7 A4, but that was more like a mid-life facelift rather than MB's doing with this CLC.

Agreed. Both cars **** me off. Im probably going to buy a different brand until the new SL comes out. MB is turning into a highline GM....too many models IMO.

2002 C230 Coupe(M111)
I was really surprised when I seen this. I like it. It looked awful in the spy photos. I think I may have actually seen one of the mules in the Stuttgart MB garage last month.

Anyway, I'm rather impressed. I still would have like to have seen more changes at the rear quarters, less so in the front. Old car looks better from the front, new car definately an improvement in the rear. New rims are nice. New tailights kick ***. I want those. Like the new name too. Old name was too long, too confusing with the C230 sedan.

Much better result than the messing around done with the CLS and the SL. Same goes for the SLK...just when you thought they couldn't make the nose look any worse.

Not the first time theyve gone this route with the name change...the mildly refreshed SEC returned one year as the CL...Ugly beast of a car.
