C230K 2002 Wheel Damage

I managed to hit a curb today and damaged the outside edge of my left front wheel (approx. 2 1/2" long).

Any ideas how to repair, or does anyone have a stock (non C7) 5-spoke wheel for sale?

Thanks, Tony

I have a set of 4 non C7 wheels that are perfect with only about 1500 miles on the tread. I need to sell them, but I just haven't got around to it yet. Since you only need one, I'm not sure if you're interested, but just let me know.

Wheel Damage

I took my car in for a free 6000 mile check up which included rotating the tires. What i came out with was a free chunk taken out of my wheel. I showed this to the service advisor and he said that they had a guy that can fix this kind of problem and they would take care of it. I was very skeptical about this but believe it or not you can not even tell that the wheel has been fixed. Maybe your dealership can help you if you wish to try this.

Yes, there are services out there who specialize in fixing this kind of damage, and they do a very good job. Ask around or do an internet search.

You can get the rim rolled and refinished for about 40-60 USD. I wouldn't know where in the US you could get this done though. Do a search...I remember a thread on this topic.

Incident #1: 1/2 inch curb scuff fixed for $75.
Repaired in Phoenix at a body shop that contracts out for wheel repair. Body shop was recommended by MB dealer.

Incident #2: a piece of pipe on the road got flung up and hit the wheel(luckily it did not hit the body) - result is about a 1.5 inch scuff on the lip of the wheel - $150 repair.
Repaired here in Tucson - place specializes in wheel repairs. I walked through there work area yesterday - they had a ton of wheels - they had stock MB wheels and AMG ones - they looked very good.

I guess I could have left them be, but since I know they are there - I just hate to see them when I walk by. I guess just being **** about it.
