one step ahead of u Young,i did that today,there could be a problem they told me,that changing the casing is fine but the igntion can have complications,cause that is not trasferable,but i'll try it any way,just waiting now

pull out battery piece.
with small needle nose pliers, grab white plastic thingy and circuit board. Try not to grab too much as the traces can get scratched.
pull straight out.
The white thingy is the pressure piece that holds it in. There is a small catch on one side of the whit thingy that latches inside.
I force pulled and it snapped off - no biggie, now the PCB and the white thing come in and out easily. But you may want to be careful about the pull out to not break it.
-- now the $149 question -- who wants to send me some money to make up for my sacrifical key?
My car was delivered July 16, 2001, one of the first delivered in the US, so maybe that functionality was added later??
I got my car August of 2001, so it's also one of the first ones to come here....can't wait.
But he also said that sometimes people order keys and then never come to pick them up, probably because they found their original, and didn't want to pay for a new one.

Hey Timmy, tried mine last night, and it works..when did you get your car? I got mine August of 2001. Hard to press it though, getting a sore thumb just to try.
