Maybach side blinker lights

Maybach side blinker lights
Ok, so I've always loved the fact that on Maybachs, the side blinker lights (on the side mirrors) stay illuminated while driving with the headlights on. Is there a way that I/we could get the W203 to have this effect as well?

Not only would it make us more visible, but well, it looks great too ;-).

Move your blinker switch up and down as fast as you can, until it appears that your blinkers are constantly on...






























Just kidding, I really don't know, but I think that would look kinda cool.

Yes, there is a way. If you've got an LED grid installed on the mirrors (I'm assuming you know how to install mirrors or side-folding) then you can wire through the door and into some 12V source like a brabus illuminated shiftknob would light up when headlights were thrown on.

Thanks for the suggestion - but even though that would get the effect I want, wouldn't it also stop the blinkers from working, if I wired them separately I'd lose blinker functionality, no? Any other thoughts folks? This could be really sweet! :-)

i think he meant install a separate set of led's in the mirrors

you could stop them from blinking and add mirrors like these:



or you could have them constantly on and toggle on/off when flashing; but don't ask me how.

YES! This is exactly what I want to do! Have them constantly on and have them flash off three times instead of "on" three times when signalling... Its almost like I want a "reverse" relay or something. Anyone? I think this would be awesome...
