new dealer experience!
1) Service A = At the begining he said that he cannot do it because of the B/s of the miles and the computer, but then i told him to ask the manager and he said yes because i almos had a tear with the car. i have 9870 miles
2) ESP / BAS Errors =
3) Weird noise when I down the passenger window = He said they will fixed
4) Check the alignment. = he told that is under waranty so is free ( to bad for me I did not know about that and tookthe car to alignment 3 months ago.
5) Bad radio reception. = I think is because of the tinted windows. They have to check what it is!
6) Loud knocking noise from the engine compartment when I start the car in the morning (their purge valve) purge valve bracket (ticking noise) = He said they will fixed
7) Strange noise like a sssssssssshhh at the back of the car. It comes form the exhaust = He checked over there but i thin the place was to noisy to notice! so they will check that !
8) Condensation on front windshield and lately the A/c do not stop blowing cool air. They will fix it
9) sunroof problem! the fabric sticks to the glass when the say is hot = they will check and fix
10) Check/change the dust filter. = they said that it's include in the next service! any comments?
11) “No Phone” message deletion. = he did not said yes or not!! he will check if he can do it
12) Set my car to stage 2 = they said it will avoid my warranty ( so they won't do it)
13) make my C230 alarm "chirp" when armed/disarmed = He told me the same as the thing of the stage 2. i did not get why but that was ok!! i will check in another dealer.. any coments?
14) Change the audio system’s speed-sensitive volume settings to be changed = iHe said yes and told him to change to 3dbs
15) taking my 217's that are a TSB and replacing them with the 221's = He will check that too!! but he is not sure!
They gave a loaner but it is not the same as my car, eventhough it's cpnvertible! my car probably will be ready for friday and for that same day i will pick up my order! I ordered the SL cover, the keyhole cover and the tire caps.. jejejje the AMG ones ! i like them more. by the way the guy in parts sucks they act really rude to the people and more with me because I have problem explain the characteristics of the parts because i just live in the States since 3 years ago, but i think they change a little when I said to my friend that I was to talk with the manager (I said Jack) and they try to be a little more helpers.... any coments?

I went to the dealer today with a long list of things that i have to fix or change:
3) Weird noise when I down the passenger window = He said they will fixed
4) Check the alignment. = he told that is under waranty so is free ( to bad for me I did not know about that and tookthe car to alignment 3 months ago.
6) Loud knocking noise from the engine compartment when I start the car in the morning (their purge valve) purge valve bracket (ticking noise) = He said they will fixed

i dropped off the car for a few things yesterday - which are still unresolved:
#3 - driver's side (clicking/scratching noise)
#4 - out of warranty period...
#6 - i thought it was the magnetic advance timing mechanism.
#11, 12, 14 - dealer had no problem changing them for me. another dealership near me wouldn't do the stage 2 setting (they were more conservative)
#13 - netherlands setting. as w/ this and other computer settings, it may be beneficial to give them the directions b/c the mechanics may not know how to change them.
-
also, asked them to check out a noise when turning (getting more frequent now). and a vibration noise/rattling (i think from the sunroof?) at speed.
Young my dealer is giveing me hard time about takeing the no phone message off can u please give me ur dealer name? thx alot

i don't mind keeping the loaner for now. but hopefully, it'll be taken care of by tomorrow.
I just got mine done last monday. it was only a one day job.
12)...what Stage 2?? does it make the boost bigger?
2) the BAS/ESP Error is cause by the faulty wiring connection at the ECU. All they need to do is to replace the wires.

Start with your front wheels straight ahead. Turn the steering wheel fully to the left until it stops, fully to the right until it stops, and back fully to the left until it stops. You are re-refrencing the steering angle sensor, which is used by the BAS, ESP and ABS systems. This works for me every time, not to mention it's outlined in the DAS machine for resetting those error lights.
ic...i would guess that setting is for different octane of gas used out side of the states, right?
That BAS/ESP error is not necessarly faulty wiring. Every time the battery is disconnected, the computer needs to re-learn a few things, one of them being the steering angle sensor stops. Here's what you do if you get that error after disconnecting your battery:

the BAS/ESP that every W203 owner seems to be getting are almost all result by the faulty wiring at the ECU. It has nothing to do with the battery disconnection in my case. I was driving while the BAS/ESP error came on.
thanks for the info anyway.
so, after you done all that work the BAS/ESP error still came back?

That's good to know though.
