Gas problem
Gas problem
I have a C320 and every time I fill up gas, the gas pump keeps clicking and stopping the gas on me. I have to continually press the trigger over and over again. I'm guessing the seal between the pump and my gas tank isn't tight.
I've owned many cars before this and never had this problem before. Anyone else getting this strange behavior pumping gas? What should I do?

I agree with Mark. I only have this problem with particular gas pumps-- and not just with this car. Try another station before you get concerned about the problem. If it was a seal problem, you would likely get an indicator on the dash-- probably check engine. Most newer cars will throw a code if the seal is bad due to emissions controls systems.

I've only had to put in gas twice since I got the car (yes I drive very little). And both times I had that happen. Once it was at a Chevron station. The other I don't quite remember.
