Living in Canada this happens to me weekly during the winter. Fortunately my fellow Canadians help give me a push every time

Snake I know exactly how you felt. The C Class is a very poor winter drive, I've found this out on several occasions, even with studded winter tyres (Continental Winter Vikings) we have problems going up even moderate slopes from a standing start or short run up, my wife is very upset she wants her Golf back. Our Golf would go up anything (on the same studded winter tyres) an excellent winter car, for snow front wheel drive beats rear wheel drive any day of the week and twice on Sundays.
I my darkest hours I find myself wishing I had bought a Passat 4 Motion, I love the C Class but it's winter performance has really let the car down.

Bro,
The images are good, and the attempts valid, but lets just think clearly.
What would you have done if your full throttle attempts of movement launched you toward the driveway?!
Traction cures all. I won't go into detail. You needs (ebonics intended) to think private (as in E-1).
All the same, the vid was good for the laugh.

I agree, i have a set of winter tires but I didn't put them on as I never drive this in the snow anyway.
Haha, that sucks man
Yup i did, the ESP dosn't let the car really spin the tires at all so it was way worse. It just spun for a mili second and then stopped itself with the brakes.

Its not too bad having a RWD in the snow. Gas Mileage sucks though. The 4-Matic would've been nice to have, but you couldn't have that much with a 4-Matic as you would with a RWD... especially in the snow.

You are funny, come to So Cal, we had 3" Sunday morning in Lake Arrowhead, very nice blanket of white powdery stuff. That's 3" on top of the 2' of snow still left on my driveway. If you get bored, come on down, I have shovels for everyone
My driveway, want to try your C230 on this?
Street in front of house 2 weeks after it snowed and snow plow came through
