My w203 got stuck in snow on the driveway. (Vid and Pics)
The c230 has been sitting in the garage for about a month now cuz I drive an explorer in the snow. We've had a brutal last couple weeks with it being 0 or under almost everyday. :ohnoes: Since the car has been sitting so long I decided that it would be a good idea to move the car a little bit so the tires don't get messed up. (idk if that helps but that's what my uncle always tells me. :dunno: ) But I move the car out of the garage maybe 10 feet and it won't go back in. So i have to rock it back and forth but it ends up going backwards and gets stuck.
I tried to get it out for a long time. I shoveled the entire driveway and got the neighbor to help me push. But nothing worked. I tried the ESP on and off, C mode, S mode going up the driveway slow, up fast, in reverse. Nothing worked.
After 2 and a half hours I decides I'll fly into the driveway from my neighbors driveway. And it finally worked! I'm so happy becuase I was worried I had to leave the car outside and I never leave it overnight outside the garage, let alone drive in snow. Oh well, i've learned that my bald pirellis are ****ty in snow and cold weather. (I didn't put the snow tires on since I wasn't driving it in snow this winter and I am looking to get new rims/tires. )
Well here's a really BORING vid of my trying to get the car unstuck just putting the car in reverse and drive, but i just made it worse lol. This is only the second vid i made so its pretty bad

(Btw the sound at the end of the vid is not the car, its the tire finally reaching concrete)

My lights don't look that bad in real life.

The Explorer last night.
Finally in!

(i know i used flash
)I wish I was in Kalli.
my snow tires would troop right through that
3 car garage ftw, we only have a 2-car garage
so my parents take it...and i have to park mine outside every night 365 days a year
garage is only a 2'er and it keeps the boat and the jag

now back to topic!
im happy i dont live where it snows
i cant imagine having to go through that constantly! better luck in the future eh!? What I do is take a bucket of HOT water and just pour it down the tire to melt the snow away, that way I can get some momentum going for my car and drive into the garage.

I swear I could smell burnt rubber watching that video lol.
BTW your car looks nice with the tints. I love the '05 rims. You should get HID's too...

The images are good, and the attempts valid, but lets just think clearly.
What would you have done if your full throttle attempts of movement launched you toward the driveway?!
Traction cures all. I won't go into detail. You needs (ebonics intended) to think private (as in E-1).
All the same, the vid was good for the laugh.

I run with winter radials with 100lbs of sand in 2 pillow cases behind each wheel well and go through much deeper snow and the difference is night and day.
The only time I get stuck is when the plow has not come by and with deep snow I beach my car. Eventhough I have traction, the friction is too great when the car is dragging on the floor pan.

You could have turned on your neon and melted all that snow, and you would have been all good!

4-Matic in Michigan FTW.
