Hello does anyone know if I change the head light and put in a GPS system will viled any warranty? thx alot!

My GPS unit is being put in as we speak. According to MB the only part of the warranty that is void is the electric that came into contact with the GPS or if the GPS caused the malfunction. My ECU had to be cut in order to run the speed sensor. If my windows or roof for example go bad, unless they prove it was the GPS I will still have a warrant. As far as headlights go, do you mean bulbs or HIDs? Bulbs shouldn't effect your warranty, HIDs may, Id call them up directly.

EDIT...if you have the choice go Pioneer...there units are better then Alpine or Kenwood.

The GPS service is free to everyone courtesy of the United States Air Force. It might be possible to have monthly license fees for software in the receiver, but I don't know of any for consumer use. Software license fees are included in the price of the unit in every consumer item that I am aware of. These fees are mostly for the mapping software, and rarely for the GPS software.
