I tried all the ways arounds! I did it with the esp on and off? and did also I braked before! I also tried by lowering the pressure in my rear tires from 32 to 18 psi. OF course that was in Morosso in FLorida and those day it was very hot and wet and 3 hours of driven to get there! i thinkthat made a difference in my time! Right now it's getting colder in here so with my new pulley coming this week i will try it again in the 1/4 mile! i hope i will do much better!

What did you use to measure your 1/4 time?.... I used G-tech to measure mine and I did 15.7 something seconds at 93 something miles/hour in my C200K auto (ring pulley, exhaust and airfilter)...I'm not sure if my Gtech is too optimistic with the results but I'm hoping it is true tho

I went to a professional race track called Morosso motorsport park! they use a system "Compulink" for measure times!

The G-Tech is nice but the track is the only place to get facts. BTW, the g-tech gives your mph at the very end while the track averages your mph over the last few feet (maybe 100 feet) so the G-tech should give a higher mph. But maybe you guys know this already so if you do, sorry for repeating.
I would guess just stomping off the line would be best. That way the convertor would flash more than brake torquing it.
Nice 1/8th mile time. Not far from the 9's. Throw out that spare tire! ;-) and empty that gas tank. Too bad we couldn't make up 3 thenths in the 60', these cars have a horrible start.
Great runs!!

And correct about converter flash... will be faster *if* the tires don't spin.
Converters actually multiply torque for a short time during launch.

Don't the auto's have knockdown or something like that? I remember reading in the manual that if you want a fast start to push the pedal beyond it's max point, so basically petal to the metal :-P and it'll do a knockdown start or something. Anyone else know about that? I'd think that's the way to launch w/ the auto.

The kickdown button past max throttle is basically used for passing on the highway or wherever max accel is needed
It brings the trans to the lowest gear possible without over revving.
Wont help your accel from a dead stop if the trans is in S mode (lowest gear start)
If you are in W mode however, kicking it down will make it go to first.
Hope that helps

how did you manage to do the brake launch
I have an autobox, I sometimes left foot brake, and on busy intersections or when I need a quick lauch I brake and hit the gas a bit to help. On the ML its fine, but on the c240 sometimes it is actually worst. It feels like the car stalls for a second....any ideas
