Exactly MSRP I went to ALL MB dealers in the state of Colorado and this is the one that gave me the most on my trade in, a 2000 BMW 328i. All of them wanted MSRP, so I figured I choose the one with the best trade-in deal and as it turns out also the closest.

C320 Wagon 4-Matic C2/C4, CD-Changer, Wheel Locks, Brilliant Silver with Ash Leather Inserts...will hopefully get it in January.

I don't think we have a nice pricelist like the German MB website, but go to www.mbusa.com and you can build the cars and see the price.

C200k uk, I think he was talking about lease payments and not finance payments. The coupe here starts at about $25,000 and most are equipped to at least $29,000. I think C240's start just above $30,000 and C320's start at $37K.

My C230K was $29,885 plus CD changer with manual, no metallic paint, but C5 and C7 and whatever the other one is with headlamp washers.

mat230k,

thanks for enlightening me. Do loads of people just lease cars out in the states?

what are interest rates like for loans over there?

Mine is a lease on an employee purchase plan. I'm a lot tech for a dealer. I wouldn't have been able to afford it if it weren't for the discount. I would say less than half the people lease. For many people, it is a good thing since they don't like to keep cars for a long time and they can afford something better on a lease. I am not sure what the interest rates are right now. Probably pretty low though. GM does a lot of 0% financing, but MB doesn't, at least not around me.

Overhere in the UK, leasing works out to be pretty expensive so not many people do it. Most people have them as company cars or buy them on cash or loan.

What i dont seem to understand is how come there are so many 17 year olds and younger c-class drivers on this forum in the states? how could they afford a car worth $25k+ ? Dont get me wrong, i think its cool how young people can drive em but if there parents are just getting them for them then those lucky ******, no bodys parent overhere, no matter how rich they are would buy there 17 year old kid a car woth more than about £5k.
Somebody care to enlighten me on this topic ?

sorry for going a bit of topic !

I kind of wonder that too. I am sure some of the people here have their parents buy them their cars. I am 22 and am completely independent of my parents, so I have to pay all my bills. I know many people here seem to be in the computer industry, so perhaps they are making good money at a young age. But some of them have to be getting the cars from their parents. A lot of parents do that in the US, just not usually MB. But by being at this forum, we meet the few who do have parents who will buy them such an expensive car.

I'm from so cal. Bought a brand new c240 w/ c2 package and metallic paint for 29,600. Out the door about $32000. At first I got the c240 w/ c2 and c4 pkg for the same price, but my mom didn't think the c4 was practical. I think I'm a pretty good negociator for a 18 yr old.

After shopping between the two dealers in my area (Dallas, TX Park Place Motorcars vs. Ewing Autohaus), I managed to get $1,400 off MSRP of $46,000 on an ordered 2003 C320. I ended up dealing with Park Place, negotiated price of $44,600. I feel I got a really good deal considering at first they (and most dealers) tell you they do not work off MSRP, especially for an ordered car.

2002 C320 Silver Wagon
I got about a $2500.00 discount on my 2002 C320 wagon. I was pretty proud of myself until I found out that MB was giving dealers a $2500.00 incentive to move the wagons in July.:o

I did get them to install the CD changer for free instead of moving mine from my C240 sedan!

I'm happy considering what they are going for here in the midwest.
