What?? The only thing that we messed with was were the actual radio was. Then we installed my TV/DVD/CD head unit up front. I hope that answers your question.

it looks like the aluminum trim doesn't have the little black pattern on it. is it the photo that doesn't show it? or did you remove the pattern? i'm guessing you didn't buy new trim.

i like how it looks w/out the pattern if thats whats showing.
btw, that sucks about your car!

Oh, OK...I gotcha now I did not even notice that!! Its the picture! Rob is actually working on a carbon fiber kit for it right now. I am not going to make any promises on when it will be donw, but I will keep you updated!

Yeah, it does suck!! I hated it....the insurance company is sending someone out right now to look at it

Just curious...

Benzy,

From the picture, it looks like there is no longer a compartment below the radio. If so, why didn't you install the new unit(s) lower (i.e., there'd be less "black" below the unit), so that it'd cover less of the vents when the screen is fully extended? It would be understandable, if there was still a compartment there, but otherwise, it just seems like wasted space.

Was it so that the screen would be at a better height for viewing, when fully extended?

Yes, it was possitioned that way mainly for viewing...but I am also going to put a little LCD monitor at the bottom of that for my system as well in the future...so it kind of worked out pretty good!
