we're going to need some details. Exactly what are your issues?
As for the cluster, there's a small knob on the left hand side of your cluster. You can turn it to make it brighter or dimmer.

for 07, i don't think is a small knob anymore, i think is a button you press right above the "R" button and they are really obvous on the side of your dash

so you are saying their is buttons on your radio like talk end correct? that dosent mean you have the phone in your car every c class in the us has had them. it was a very expensive option to get on the car and the phone cradle would be in the top of the center console. if you have that and the bluetooth puck which is instaled in the cradle like a phone then you need to find the manual to tell you how to sync the phone. i would email mbusa to see if they have a pdf version i also recall seeing a manual somewhere i will look and see if i can get you a link. btw do you have a nav unit or standard radio?
just though of something bad if i recall correcly in 2007 they took out the pre wiring for the phone if you did not get it as an option. from what i heard it is nearly impossible to put in cheaply.

i am imagining you sitting in your car for hours at a time trying to turn something on that you don't even have 
just hilarious bro.
i have telephone buttons everywhere in my 06', steering wheel, radio, on the roof, under the hood(just in case), but i do not have the option so- i can not just sync my phone, same problem you are having. im not too concerned about having bluetoofs in my car, but i think you need an adapter! (puck or something)
