Where do you hang your parking permits?

If you hang it from the mirror they will see what they need to see, the numbers across the bottom and you'll be fine. I hang mine from the mirror and never had a problem and I do get tickets when I forget to hang it so I know they are looking.
The best was when we had a Pontiac Montana that had a metalic film inside the glass in the windshield and the toll road transponders won't work so we would get tickets all the time and then have to mail it in. There was actually one spot on the windshield that didn't have this metalic film and that was the black area behind the mirror.

Back in school, I had this problem too. Cep't my parking cops were too lazy to look for the permit on the mirror since it was semi-difficult to see and had to get a couple tickets repealed. My spend-no-time-on-it solution was to throw it up on the dash when I parked and put it in the pocket under the radio when before I'd start the car.

after about 13 tickets since the start of this year, i just make sure i leave it on the dash and then take it out.

but yeah i'm gonna try the string idea too hopefully it won't fall off that too and if anything i'll just use a little piece of take and tape it in the corner or something

When I needed to hang a parking permit, I just wrapped a wire (from a coat hanger) around the mirror ball joint, then let it hang down a few inches and bent it into a hook shape at the end. Not the cleanest, but problem solved.

I don't think the problem is the big mirror so much as the rain sensor assembly getting in the way.
I just kinda jammed it up into the rain sensor assembly. I used to laid it over the ac instake/subwoofer, but got a ticket for "improper display."

cal fullerton campus police sucks!!! i got a ticket there before...but then again i'm not a student there...lmao
you don't even have to use a string. just stuff it between the windshield and the rain sensor box thing. there's a tiny gap. OR just scotch tape it.

UCR parking people suck. they gave me a ticket for parking in the lothian pay-per-space at 9:50pm. it's free after 10, dammit! that made it my 13+ parking ticket for the year, lmao.

What worked better than a string for me was a long twist-tie. That way I was able to adjust how much slack was in the line, and since it was more rigid, the permit didn't move around at all, but lay flat against the back side of the mirror. Might want to try that as well to see what you think.

i had a plastic bead chain (taken from an old FF7 character keychain) that snapped together and was the perfect length to hold my parking pass (top part) flush to the rear-view mirror while being long enough to easily change parking passes.
my parking pass holder mysteriously disappeared when i last visited the dealership though i'm still sad about losing it.
