Don't know how much it costs though. I emailed them last week, but never got a response.

Wow... seeing all these responses I now realize how lucky I was to have gotten my Comand 3 weeks ago (by Steve of course). Had I waited I'd probably have to wait till next year.
Thanks to Jay for the introduction to Steve and thanks to Steve for the great job!

If you want to add DVD and not a TV tuner there is a simple part available in germany from Megacomm, I am not sure of the website adress at the moment, but I am sure you can find the part on EBay, and it is a simple plug an play cable that adds RCA in features to your COMAND unit.

Hi Mike,
I also have a 2002 C-Class W/US nav.
We have both options available:
1. Factory TV Tuner, With harness and antenna (done it in my own car, works great, but a little expensive kit)
2. Video adapter with CAN emulator. this way the radio "thinks" there is a TV Tuner installed. The video adapter take one Audio/Video input and converts it to NTSC RGB for the screen. the cost for this adapter is usually $1050 including head-unit programming, but since your unit is already programmed (But says "TV NOT AVAILABLE AT THIS MOMENT, PLEASE CONTACT YOUR MB DEALER") YOUR COST WOULD BE $900.
I could give a further 10% discount for 10 pcs and 15% off for 25 units. please remember that US Comand systems need to be programmed, a procedure that can be done by a mercedes dealer or by us for $150.
Thank you,
Moni

the question is its very hard to turn on the TV function while the car is in motion. most dealer dont do it and if they do it they must have the june 2002 version of the stardiag software. if not you have to download the linux program and hook it to your computer to turn on the function.

The AM stations works well for me, I only listen to a few stations.
Oggle, not really sure but my original deck had it before and it gave the weather forcasts and etc.... Just wondering if we need to configuresomething to make it work.
Jay, do you know where I can find info on what services we get from TeleAid?
