So I got my hose fixed at the dealer free a couple weeks back......and yesterday.....car starts rough idling again, lost power, bad mpg, and check engine light is on again....so bummed right now.
Even the same day I got it fixed, the tech didn't secure the clamp enough, and my car lost like 75% of its power, i almost got plowed on the highway...brought it back and they "secured" the clamp.
If they fix it again, and it continues to fail, what am I gonna do? lol...

so I pulled my old invoices tonight and saw that I had this work done back in October of 2007. Figured I would get reimbursed for it but I show 3 different hose part numbers, a part number for a clamp, and a part number for a valve. Can anyone post the complete part numbers for all associated parts with this recall? I paid 400 for this crap and wouldn't mind having the money back.

I had check engine light on for 3 months. It used to come on and go off automatically. 2003 C230 50K miles. Out of warranty. I went for service and asked to look at it. They told me about this recall and fixed it. No questions no cost. Cool. Dealer in San Luis obispo , great service.

i got an email from dealer regarding this recall. Called the dealer for appointment next week since my 4yr/50k miles warranty is going to expire soon. Have to bring the car in for a service B as well as the recall, and want to make sure all TSB have been addressed.
Check with the lady who makes appointment, she said according to the computer, the only thing not done is this ongoing recall.
Will have the SA to look into the cam sensor oil leaking issue as well as the valeo radiator...
gee...
should i keep the car after the warranty is up?

brought the car to dealer yesterday to have the last free service B and recall done. I did not feel any "improvement" as far as the idle, since I only have 37k miles on the car, maybe the hose is still good.
Everything comes out good. Got a 07 c230 loaner, which I feel drives better than my 04.5 due to different engine and transmission. However, the enterprise car rental is not that good, have to wait for almost 30 min to get the loaner..
So far, no oil leak from cam angle sensor and the radiator is good.
Also, they replace all tail light bulbs since one or two of them are gone

I was experiencing sluggish accelaration from stopped positions and my dealer said I need to replace a hose for $700. Something told me to hold off and I am glad I did. After I learned about the hose recall on this forum, I called my dealer back (Beschoff Motors, San Jose CA) and took the car in the next day. They replaced 4 or 5 hoses and the car feels great. Noce and smooth accelaration and it was FREE!!!

I downgraded to a VW, it's still German though
I called my dealer today. They said it is an outstanding recall they'll fix. They promised me a loaner car, which is a first. My Benz dealer doesn't seem as nice with loaning vehicles out.
Anyone else use HBL in Tyson's Corner, VA?
Last time they lost my car after an all day oil change. I had to wait a full hour before they (really I) found it. The valet guy even brought out a car that wasn't mine, thinking it was. He even tried to give me the keys to it. No wonder they couldn't find my car....someone else probably drove it home.
