do you have pics or part numbers for the terminals ? I have an 07C230ss and of course this one didn't include this white aux connect. I removed the pass kick panel and searched everywhere.
"not as much trouble as I went through to put in a simple AUX connector.
took apart the passenger side and realize the car isn't pre-wired for AUX. took apart the center console and realize I need new terminals for the C2 connector. put everything back, went to the dealership the next day and found out the little tiny terminal cost me $4 each and I needed 4. got home took apart the center console again and finally got it done in less than 15min."
Thank you

it's odd that you have the 2007 and doesn't have the AUX pre-wire. My process should be similar to wire up to the back of the 07 headunit, but I don't have the manual for the 2007. I've only found the 2002 pdf which I used from buellwinkle's site. Here's the DIY instruction for Comand 2.0 for 2001-2004. https://mbworld.org/forums/showthrea...od+integration

Well, that is a switch for me. Usually I have them at "Hello..."
Pardon me for rambling on a bit, but I wanted to include what to look for should someone in the future search the forum with a similar dilema in search of an answer. I know I don't like to wade through a thread that states a problem, but gives no advice beyond "see the dealer." That is almost as bad as "Reload Windows."
Steve will be able to help you. A terrific fella who knows more about these cars than Herr Benz himself.
I used initials that are attached to items in technical publications. I should explain what each means. Most Americans don't even know what that little plastic thing on the end of a shoe lace is called. (Aglet)
HU is Head Unit, the part in the dash with the radio, display, and single disk player.
MOST is Media Oriented System Transport. This is the standard used by car manufacturers to move data over fiber optic cables from device to device in the entertainment system.
CDC is the Compact Disk Changer. This is mounted in the glove box and holds a number of compact disks that can be selected automatically like a juke box.
I hope you are enjoying motoring pleasure very soon with your new CDC (which is one of the buttons on your HU)

Thank you again for your info- I did a search last night for ALL of the technical terms you mentioned in your first post so it made a bit more sense to me after reading tons and tons of previous threads.
Believe it or not, I actually did know the correct term "aglet" for the plastic or metal piece at the tip of the shoelace!

Now you see why many of us try to learn to do these things ourselves.
It's less frustrating than paying morons who know even less then you.
And paying them for their complete lack of knowledge.
I see you are learning!
As you are in So Cal, I can't believe someone on this board couldn't help you with this for 50 bucks.
Yeh, you might need an optical cable, no biggie, the installer should've just handled it! Obviously he doesn't have a clue.
Find someone familiar with MBZ.
Good luck!

I found these pics on ebay. these are pics of 230radio units. maybe someone can help in identifying some of the harness plugs. I have an 07 -230ss and i have one of the later build that didn't have the mysterious ''white'' aux plug. i am trying to the gather more info so i can maybe tap into the cd/cdc active button.

Thanks C230 Sport Coupe. I am learning a lot! At this point, I'd be MORE than happy to pay someone $100.00 to do the install for me at this point....
