Swapped the cheap oem paper speakers for some Polk Audio db series component speakers. 
Cut out the oem speakers and used the same bracket to secure the new speakers. I also kept the oem plug and soldered some wires behind the bracket. So, if I wanted to go back to stock, I would just need new speakers.
Placed a new tweeter in the stock location, and added the polk logo.
Now I just need to replace the rears. Sounds pretty good, I need to play around with the HU to get it perfect.

They are the older style reiger side skirts. reiger has a new skirt w/ small vents in them. and lorinser has one w/ mesh grills near the front and back.
You REALLY got down and dirty on this one!
jk... lookin forward to seein the lip now that you're all done w/ the paint on the car.

They sound great. Zero distortion when turned on really loud.
Rieger has two style side skirts. I wasn't a big fan of their new design with the vents.

lol.. I havent had the time to work on the lip. I was working on my sisters car, getting ready to sell it.

Man pic one hurts every time i see it. but man nice progression. Suck how easy it is for someone to set your work back years in a matter or seconds.

Thanks man. I'm just eager to get my WALD kit man. and then i will put on my bix, black side markers and HIDs back in. I'm still in need of an exhaust, but i want a bippu one vs our norm. just cant find the damn one from the Falken 452 gs300, the oval "up-angled" style muffler.
Thanks Gary. Upgrading the speakers was definitely worth it.

How do those Polk's sound not hooked up to an amp b/c I have a 300/4 JL to power them but if they sound fine without the amp, it would save a lot of hassle.
