Stepper motor, how to get access to it?
Hello all,
Having a torrid time replacing the stepper motor link on my 2k1 C320. I stripped everything except the dashboard.
The problem is, it's motor M2/7 (right blend air flap positioning motor) which is located next to the heaterbox/charcoal filter assembly.
there is no way i have found to attack it without having to remove something extra.
Do I have to remove the entire dashboard? Or do I simply remove the heater box/filter assembly? Please help!!!!
thanks,
Ben

Thanks for the link. Unfortunately, the M2/7 motor sits parallel as opposed to perpendicular like the 4 main motors.
It turns out that the motor went bad and would keep on spinning causing the gears to skip and thus make that clicking noise.
taking the dash off was not fun. It's very involved.
