Have installed on my 2002 and my friend on his 2003 and both work perfect. Two connectors, plug and play,
1) does the red buttons seem really faint (almost invisible at nite)?
2) when you hit a button sometime it doesnt work and have to hold it a bit...i guess opposite of sticky buttons.
3) my lil blue center wheel between the front two a/c vents doesnt seem to make any difference anymore....maybe lost it with climatronic? does C320 have that lil wheel as well?
4) someone plz explain how tunnel mode work again? I tried it and doesnt seem to do it. Does the a/c have to be on "AUTO" mode, windows/sunroof open, then hold down recirc button? does it matter if my a/c is in manual mode? economy mode on? off?
THANKS for info. It does look sweet by the way....complement the Audio 10 of course no one outside MBworld know its a mod

The red and blue temp. buttons do seem dim on my unit too. For tunnel mode to work, your windows and/or sunroof must already be open with car running. Press and hold the recirculate button for several seconds to close all windows/sunroof. Then release button. To re-open windows and sunroof to open position, press and hold button down again. Isn't this covered in the manual?

I just replaced my A 203 830 02 85 unit with another A 203 830 02 85 unit from my dealer and I am experiencing the same problems, So I would def. assume it is not defective units, but rather that the new climatronic units don't work on the coupe. So I pose the question does anyone know where I can pick up an older climatronic unit?

I bought mine from him, new and a good price, and it works no problems on the 2002 coupe MB part number A 203 830 09 85
good luck

I am still wondering if any has managed to get an A 209 830 02 85 or A 203 830 02 85 unit to work in their coupe? I seem unable to find anymore A 203 830 09 85 units. As far as my swap went I seem able to get AC out of my second unit, but all the air is still flowing out of the defroster vents, no matter what the setting is on the controle wheels. Is there a way I can trick it to diverting the air else where?

UPDATE:
After having my car for three solid days, my dealership has decided to refund my money for the climate control since they could not get it to work. According to them {according to MB} the new climate control was designed NOT to work with the coupe, for whatever reason.
Stay away from the 02 units, they will not work.

since the 2003 coupes do have tunnel mode for windows and roof, will the climatronic unit do the tunnel mode for windows and roof. my unit came in today (203 830 0985) with my audio 10, euro mirrors, and e brake cover. still have to wait 4 more weeks for my car.
