FYI- M111 C230 Coupe Supersprint Header is still available
I just thought I'd mention .that...
Reason being, when I got mine, the person who sold it to me told
me "Only 10 were ever made!!!" and that a new one if you could get it it would cost like 1200-1500.
Well I just got off the phone with Supersprint NA for some technical questions, and was told it is still indeed available for about $850.
For those folks who were trippin' when I snaked that deal,
(E?) you might be glad to know that. About the same price, and you'll get a warranty, something I didn't.
I definitely noticed a difference in power, butt dyno would say at least 15 hp, and it didn't adversely effect emissions either. I passed with flying colors. A very good compliment to an ASP or Kleeman pulley and the power it adds is in the realm of affordability, good value to the HP. And If you look at the design, it's a long header so lots of low and mid oomph.

Ya, I was a bit agitated when you beat me to the sale by a few hours

This is good news even though I'm not sure if I want to throw another K into my car for performance.

Sounds interesting !!
I think my dealer took out mine and replace it with a smaller one without telling me... but im not 100% sure.
Does this really increase power? or just the sound lol

Of all the things you can do after the ASP, this has got to be the most bang for the bucks. I'm not sure how much power I'm pushing, but the car is so easy to drive compared to stock, which was always downshifting.
The header added so much grunt on hills, it blew my mind.
Then with the freeflow cat, the thing's a beast, but a tad noisey.
I might add a resonator, or small muffler to smooth it out a bit.
It'll run right along in 5th gear on a hill. But I usually DS to 4, since I noticed it seems to get better mileage that way, and puts less strain on things.

Another member in San Jose who has a 6 speed and ASP, also noticed it, and that was with us both in the car, so adding 150-200 lbs in weight at the same time. He was certain my car was faster than his manny.

Although I was thinking of just buying a cheaper car to play with, like a ~$3500 2001 Audi A4 or Porsche 944... decisions decisions

happy you finally joined the SS club!!!!![thumbs](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/thumbsup.gif)
I put mine on around 30,000 miles and have loved it ever since!! even without the kleeman it helps out and you can hear the motor a lot better---only regret is that I didn't have it Jet-Hot coated with silver---it looks a little dingy now---I might do it later when I get another car
I bought mine when they first came out--Brand new it ran me 1,200 shipped and had to wait but I was one of the few

Out Of Control!!
Hmm - guess I'm in the minority; I didn't feel much of a gain at all with mine.
I do probably need to get the ecu rechipped, though, between the Renntech pulley, header, hi flow cat, exhaust, etc... It's currently only set for the pulley.
Yes, HK - mine's coated, and still looks great.

Yeh, wish I'd gotten it coated, but oh well.
I'm surprised you didn't notice a difference.

Unfortunately, I can only imagine how much of a bath they took on such a low-production model. Benz owners are the ones to blame for not stepping up to the plate.

I took mine off last week, the OE CAT started to erode inside the chamber, had the rear supersprint section welded to it......it was easier to put the stock unit back on and reweld at a later time, i MAY have the header up for sale, after all the setups that i had for this car, and 200,000+ miles later, my favorite is
K&N, kleemann pully, lower gear ratio rear end, and eisenmann rear muffler with no mod to front exhaust............
but the gas milage was better with the supersprint by 2-3 mpg

Someone asked me about cleaning the wiring harness.
Didn't you do that?
Can you point me to the DIY thread?

Most people used the ratio from the C240 I think.
There are some very old threads around here about that.
