Brake Fluid Change Question
I was planning to get the brake fluid flush n fill, Its been over 2 yrs now. I dont wanna go to the dealership though so I know this local mechanic who is pretty good and he has all the documentation as to how to get the job done on these vehicles...I have a question that i wanted to ask before i go ahead with that guy,,,,What is the proper procedure to flush the brake fluid...i asked him and after checkin his system he said its just normal bleeding..

Bleeding brake fluid should be a simple process, just make sure you use MB approved fluid or reputable aftermarket brands.

One of the many pdf's I made the other night, as I went through the entire service DVD.
No, surprisingly there's nothing fancy about how they do it!
You just need a pressure bleeder.
But you do need to get under the car and get access to all 4 bleed screws, which won't be fun in the driveway.
I'd pay $100 to not have to deal with it.
Just make sure they use compatible fluid...
our cars come "DOT +4" which is DOT 4 with a slightly higher boiling temp, and only sold at MB.
If you go to DOT5 you have to completely flush the whole system, and pray no one ever adds the wrong stuff by accident. Can't mix the 2.
