Similar to your post about Singapore road tax, I could not afford to pay the road tax every year even if I could source our a C32 engine.
I don't know the price right now, all I know is that there is an SLK230K with this Brabus engine upgrade kit that has been written off sitting in the junk section of Brabus Thailand. I've asked about the price of a new kit but they haven't gotten back to me yet. The problem with the SLK is that it now belongs to the insurance company... I just have to stick my nose into their business to discover whick wreckers they're going to sell the car to.
The only Brabus stuff I have on my car are the front and rear bumpers, 17" block V, muffler & tips and the flat badges. All in all about A$9,000 all up including paint and install. Expensive I must say, and also a pity as well since when I bought it this Brabus kit was my favourite but there never really was anything special about it....until this year when I saw the AMG kit.. WOW! but too bad, I'll have to live with my Brabus stuff.
I think Carshine in Melbourne (Aussie Lorinser) sells Carlsson and Brabus as well... I remember seeing some Brabus stuff in their showroom when I was there April 2001. Check them out... www.carshine.com.au

C200K to C230K (M111)
Any luck on doing this conversion ?
3PointedStar said he thinks it might be possible with the crankshaft, con-rods, wrist-pins etc while retaining the stock engine block.
Hoping that this would be an easy upgrade for my 1998cc engine.
I've already installed the Carlsson pulley kit but feel that I need more torque....and urge on the bottom end.
I would imagine that the stock C230K parts would be good enough without going for forged pistons/con-rods/wrist-pins since many have pullied their stock C230K.

C200K to C230K - bore & stroke
thanks Kineda... sounds doable - how much for the engine ?
I was hoping to do the crankshaft / piston / con-rod swap which would help me retain the engine block > ie. engine s/no.
still searching for the bore diameter x stroke length figures for both the C200K and C230K (M111 engines)... anyone who knows the differences or even tried the swap ? I thought 3PointedStar was going to do it ......
PS: Your C32 swap seems like the best for ultimate power but we've got strict laws in my neck of the woods.

Yes, it's a used engine. Not quite sure on all the details of it yet. I will add a new thread later on to provide more info as the project comes along. Don't want to hijack this one.
230K engines.. pre-2002 ones are going for about $2500 on ebay. I'd be willing to part with mine for about the same price.. plus it's newer with only 10k miles on it. hehe
