Anyone experience this when letting off the gas?

I have a manual transmission '03 c230 Sedan. I searched the forum but couldn't get a clear answer. I've noticed this happen with my car:

While driving, if I let off the gas, the car sort of hesitates. Not sure how to explain it...It's like a hesitation, but not when I hit the gas, but rather, when I let off the gas. It's not a smooth deceleration... Could this be MAF related?

I have noticed that too! Do you have the sprintbooster? I think that may be the culprit...

I thought of that....

I don't have the Sprint Booster, but I did borrow my friend's for a few minutes to test it out, this was back in January 2008.

That actually crossed my mind, since I don't recall ever having the problem before using the Sprint Booster....now the question is, how do I fix this issue? Lol...

I'm going to clean the MAF sensor soon anyway, since I haven't cleaned it...I have the MAF cleaner i got from an auto parts store. Not sure it will help with my problem, but at least I will clean it haha.

What gear does it? below the 3rd gear I would say it is normal, just the engine brake. And my guess is you down shift a lot. A regular throttle reset would help.

Hmm, I notice it with city driving, so basically when shifting from 3rd to 2nd...Also, if you let off the clutch easily while in first gear, and don't press on the gas, the car moves along by itself, but I've noticed lately that when i do this, the car moves right along, then slightly sputters, then keeps going. It doesn't stall though...if this is normal please forgive me lol

Well that's the engine brake... it is sligh though.
Start with throttle reset. If it doesn't improve then MAF cleaning, then Injection service, the least is spark plugs.
throttle and MAF should be enough.

One thing, try to down shift very late, at low rpm (around 1-1.5 thousand rpm).

thanks for the tips! I'll try down shifting around those rpms too. I take it you've noticed this as well? lol

Yup, on this car! I've driven a Peugeot 206 before but the engine brake didn't do that(not much) because it just doesn't learn the way I drove. Like down shift at 2 or 2.5 k rpm.
With this car I reset the throttle every 1k miles lol. and just cleaned my MAF this W-E, that helps too.
