Finally Got Mine

I was just able to get a 2005 C240 4MATIC with 46,000 miles. It's in amazing condition, and I just wanted to share.
This is a great community, and I'm excited I can finally be a member with Mercedes as well.
Thanks for letting me share.

The car was a certified pre-owned. We used my father's sales guy.
We paid $22K, and got 4.9% thru Mercedes Benz financial. That included the CPO Extended Warranty to 100,000 miles, and my trade-in as well. I turned in a 1998 Accord with 163,000 miles. It wasn't a bad deal, I'm sure we could have done better, but I was satisfied with it in the end. The car was originally stickered for $25,000 on the lot.
Overall, the experience at Schumacher was outstanding. They never tried to sell us anything, instead, they were always asking us what we wanted, and if we were satisfied. They didn't try to sell us anything in finance, and I ended up having a hour-long delivery class in their delivery garage after I signed papers. It was pretty fun.

I use zymol leather cleaner, and conditioner. Still looks new.
And on the dash and plastic I use the Mercedes plastic conditioner cleaner and a brush if necessary.
Black isn't cleaner, you just don't see it.
I think it's very uplifting the lightness inside the cab.

The ash has always been a favorite of mine since it feels so open. However, I'm wondering how often I'm going to have to really clean it. I'm a clean person, but the carpet worries me a bit. They gave me two full sets of brand new Mercedes mats, so I can wash them and trade them out every few months.
What are the all-weather mats like? Do they come color matched?

And most importantly, makes your tint look darker.

I use Zaino leather cleaner and conditioner and apply these once a month to my leather..PLUS, I usually apply them more often after I have passangers on my back seat (tight space back there!)
I'd love to have a white car with ash/white leather, but it'll be PITA to clean the interior since I'm an **** and clean person

And I heard Zymol bottles are good too..Maybe I'll try them when I'm done with my Zainos
For your carpet, you should steam clean them once in a while when it gets so dirty OR just bring it to a detailing shop for carpet only
Enjoy your new car!

I was thinking about the steam-clean thing. How long does that take to dry? What about on the fabric liners that around around the doors? You know, the thin 1 inch thick stuff that outlines the doors? Just fabric cleaner?
I'm **** too, so I'm thinking about this now before I refresh my cleaning and detailing supplies.

I kind of hate my wood trims tho and I might do something with the trims (Either paint it black/CF overlay/CF vinyl stick on)
I never actually bought the steam cleaning machine. I usually visited my detailing shop for cleaning my carpet after winter time (all the caked salt/snow)
I'd get the steam cleaning thing if I have access to electricity near my parking spot. I live in a condo and there's no access to electricity in my parking floor
I know what you meant with the fabric lining ( I call it acoustic lining tho, IDK why) and I tried a fabric cleaner to an ash lining, didn't work! I think It'd be better if you can clean it ASAP before it becomes permanent stains (Harder to clean)
Maybe the steam cleaning machine might work on that lining..

This morning before driving in to work I used some upholstery foam on the fabric trim around the doors and it worked perfect.
nibo83, I think the carbon fiber could look good, depending on the pattern and the finish of it. Were you thinking something glossy or something more matte?
As far as mods, I'm trying to work out a way to get my iPod hardwired in like on my Accord. My headunit in that car had a direct iPod dock cable and control interface. Since the benz has the CD changer in it, which I'm using, I'm wondering if I want to pull it out and get the Aux adapter or not. One thing I am frustrated with is I can't get any burned CD's to work.
The other thing I'm looking at is getting some restored AMG wheels, or other Mercedes 17 inch wheels, since I loved many of their dual-spoke designs. I think the designs of those wheels really compliment the cars the best.
