lease assumption deal
Hey guys,
Long time lurker, not much of a poster, but I have a question for you guys. Im looking at taking over a lease and found a 2007 Mercedes c230 available in my local area. The details;
2007 C230 Sport
4,400 miles on the car (like new)
arctic white ext.
black int.
7 speed manual
power sun roof/moon
6 cd disc changer
warranty from MBZ 4yr-50,000 mile
lease takeover is $323 per month for 11 months remaining.
Do you guys think this looks like a good deal? Is there anything I should be looking for when it comes to 2007 c230? I wish there were a few more bells and whistles, like navigation though. I appreciate your help

monthly payments seem very good to me. But, you should make sure you get the full service history before you pull the trigger. I drive a 2007 c230 sport with manual transmission. It is great to drive. I think it drives better than the 2008s, but that is just me.

Haha, Scott your right I messed up..I meant to say 7 speed adaptive automatic transmission, not manual. The yearly allowed mileage is 10k. The owner said there is 18k miles left with the lease terminating march 09. So that works out to be 1,600+ per month which is fine with me. I average about 6-7 thousand miles per year.
I question whether it might be worth the extra 100 bucks or so to drive a car with more bells and whistles, live nav, bluetooth, ipod, satellite radio etc already on the car like I see in some leases.

I think it really depends on your budget and how much you're personally willing to spend on a lease payment. If the car you want, with the options you want, fits what you're comfortable spending, then I think you've got your answer.
But, if you can be happy with this, and are comfortable with the deal, it doesn't sound too bad either.

Thanks for your advice Chris. I know part of my question is un-answerable for someone else other than myself. But I gather the deal itself, for what it is, seems like its probley a good one.
