I don't know what to say to this statement. See your post #7 above.

The reason you don't post it is because you don't know how to do it. I think you must be one of those wipe-*** satellite kids

I don't think any of us were talking down to you or being rude until you started calling people names. If that post had said something like "oh ok, looks like I'll need to get Service-A done soon but for now, I hate the beeping and would like to turn it off" maybe we would be more open to helping you out.

Yes, but that was only in response to your tone in post #6 - up to that point it was civil - maybe we both over-reacted
OK this is definitely my last post on this subject.

I wasn't being serious when I said you already sacrificed a week of your engines life, lol. Funny stuff! How could anyone possibly determine how long a engine can/will last? Anywho, as aforementioned by johnand - E is a long time member and when a noobie such as yourself speaks in a negative way towards him, the rest of the community is going to get defensive.
I'm glad to see you have calmed down and hopefully the rest of your stay here will be more peaceful. Goodday!

need more info bro...first off, why didn't they fit? i'm guessing that it was the 9" width? did they stick out? hit the calipers? what??? a 9" wide wheel with a 245 in the front is a no-no

with an 18" rim, non-staggered set-up, you should be running 225/40-18 all around....but the rim should be 18x8 or 18x8.5, not 18x9.

i highly doubt 18x8.5 with et42 will fit w/o spacers in the front even on the non sport model with small brakes. my guess is that you will need at least a 5mm spacer....maybe even a 10mm. you will prob need a 5mm for the rear also.

do some more homework

Yes it was the inside of the 9" rim and tire was rubbing on the strut they didnt stick out at all. So now i am looking into a set that is 18x8 with a 32mm offset...with 225/40/18 that should work right...im just confused about what offset i should use... a 32mm or a 42mm?

No, they are not for 4Matic. There is no shock or coilover option for 4Matic W203 right now.
However, you do have an option for lowering springs from H&R.

Here's my thread about it.

+1

FYI, running a staggered setup on a 4matic isn't the best idea.

C24owner, I see you are using Vogtland lowering springs. I just got a set for my C280 4matic but have not installed them. I got them from a guy on this board. I almost sold them to someone else but the buyer got cold feet. Are you using the Vogtlands with the stock shocks? How is the ride? I have been on the fence since I bought them because I love the ride on this car but don't like the fender clearance. I may just install them. Any comments?

Thanks, Greg

OMG Mu9enx, you got a couple bodies in the trunk?

I am on stock suspension with 19s, check my sig for how my c230 sits. I think it differs a little between cars for one reason or another.

Greg,

The ride got a little stiffer when I installed the shocks. No one (that I know of) makes replacement shocks, so oem is the only option. Right now, the ride sucks. Its very very stiff, but I think my shocks are in need of replacing --almost 80k miles--

Just install the springs. The difference in ride quality wont be huge, but the car will look great.

The only two options are vogtland springs or H&R springs. Both are very hard to find (direct from the manufacturer in Germany)
