Am I imagining this?
I have never believed the gas station you get gas from matters. Am I imagining this or have anyone had the same experience?
Furthermore, there is nothing special about techron even though the marketing department wants you to think so. It's just their brand of detergents. Just about all premium fuels have similar detergents, and they don't provide a difference in power, what they're good for is preventing carbon buildup or helping reduce it in an engine that already has it, but this is a process that occurs over time, not within days.

There is a sensor and a spring within the pedal assembly and then the wire from the sensor goes to the ECU to tell the engine where the gas pedal is.
So there is absolutely no way the gas pedal could feel different.
EDIT: I think my sarcasm meter might be broken.

The experience with the engine can be due to several factors.
Depending on how many miles you have, the engine may be loosening up a bit. Also when the level gets a little low, it feels a little faster, less splashing around in the wet sump.
Gas has been 4.09 at least (prem), around here for a while.
Old news.
