Plus it's still winter and the streets wont be swept till April so the wheels will go on sometime May.

hey man,
i was just off the phone with a recaro rep who's trying to find brackets for me and he said there are some available for the w203 application. however, i thought i remember you saying that its different for the w203 coupe.
also, i checked about the clk OEM recaro seats to see if their brackets would work. according to the local rep, he said that for the OEM seats, each individual dealer makes the bracket specific for the seat and the car. in other words, there is no standard recaro bracket for purchase for clk "oem recaro" seats since it comes together.
i'm not sure if you already knew this info, but i'm also trying to find a way to get recaro seats in my car and am trying to tackle both the seat bracket issue and the passenger side airbag sensor issue.
please share any info that you might find.

Don't bother with the W203 bracket as it will not fit the coupe.
As for the W209 and CL203 brackets, Recaro Germany has an application and the two part numbers are identical.
However, the W209 and W203 have the same part number as well... not sure what happened there.
They're $375 per side special order only.
I have custom brackets made.
The airbag sensor was also resolved long ago.
Just waiting for some decent weather now!!

hey terrence,
i found the correct brackets (passenger is available and driver side has to be ordered)--thanks.
on the other hand, the local recaro salesman says he has no clue about the airbag sensor... i also didn't have luck searching the forum about this. can you help me out?
many thanks

I know this is totally going to sound like a plug for a shop but it seriously comes with good recommendations...
For the brackets, you can always contact Wedge Engineering (www.wedgeengineering.net). They make the best brackets around and most of the Cali show scene is thankful for them. They can be cheaper than Sparcos and from what I've heard, these guys even made them for Sparco before. Virtually all of the teams I've sponsored across the country have contacted them for brackets at one point.

For sure. Should have pics once the seats and wheels are complete.
Also picked up the aero wiper conversion from MB. Can't believe it came out to $300 but well worth it IMO.
