car looks sick! I was contemplating on getting my rear brabus kit painted black as well. Is it painted black gloss? or matte? How do you like it, i feel like it will give a more aggressive look than keeping it just silver.

Also i was thinking of retrofitting the E-class LED DRL in place of my fogs, what do you guys think? Is there someone that did that yet on a c-coupe?

I had them on there for a reason... after the last paint job, the front end got beat up really fast from all the rocks and crap we have on our roads during winter. The car is going in for a new paint job in May, but for now this is what I am left with...

Re-did the lower portion of the Brabus diffuser in black.

So this is how she sits for now. Will keep you all updated on the paint and new plans for the car starting in May.

The diffuser is gloss black, I feel it makes the rear more aggressive but it takes away from the "Brabus" look because the holes all blend in with the black.

Not sure about the LED DRL on our front bumpers... seem a little too round for a straight strip of LEDs in my opinion.

Alright so time for another update now that all the aero is in.

I have always hated the fact how Brabus never made side skirts for the Coupe. The existing side skirts on the car is essentially AMG skirts with a flare but it doesn't match with the Brabus diffuser which is flat. I've looked into Lorinser sides but it doesn't flow with the body lines. I also wanted a black lower diffuser which is why I was playing around with vinyl on the Brabus diffuser to see how it would look.

So... knowing the C32 Coupe is only offered in Europe, I picked up a rear bumper from the Netherlands.

Hopefully this will clear the Remus exhaust. I had to do a little trimming on the stock bumper to keep it from burning. This diffuser is meant for the AMG straight tips though so I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

And this is essentially the main line that I was referring to with regards to matching the side skirts. It's a small detail but it bothered me enough because the current kit doesn't flow.

I've also had the Brabus front for 4 years already and I felt it is time for a change. It's still my favorite lip out of all the options for the Coupe but too many people are coming out with reps and stuff now that I want to do something different.

From what I know I have never seen anyone with this front so it should be nice to see it painted and installed. It's a 3-piece design so I'll be able to take the middle off if I feel like it... probably will leave it on though.

And that is all for now. Time is winding down and only 2 more weeks before the car goes in for paint.

Still have one more major item to address but I need this time while the car is being painted to save up my pennies and also pay for the bodywork.

looks too angular to flow with the lines of our coupes... unless you have an aero kit with straight lines like the brabus... otherwise i think it would look out of place IMO

Ya that is exactly what I mean, the lines on the newer models are too straight where as the 203 is round.
Don't think it'll look right.

I have the DRL's already so i'll see how this plays out. I need a new housing for these DRL's to sit against because the regular fogs will have to go and i'll have to create some kind of backing for these to sit on.

Before i do all that, i'll do a mock install and see how they look, i'll take some pics too.

Dude, I honestly don't think this looks good at all.

Reminds me of the ugly stick on body parts for a Corolla or Civic:

Maybe on a stock body. Only one way to find out.

Car is coming along slowly. Finding more small rust spots here and there as work progresses so the schedule is being pushed back more and more. I want it all done correctly though so it's not an issue.

Only pic I have for now. Saw the car again today and it is all sanded down now.

nice to see some updates... even though minor. i think the lip/splitter has good potential and i'm looking forward to see how it turns out. my guess is that you'll paint the middle portion black to continue your theme...

can't wait to see the new wheels on too... it must be hard to have them sitting around boxed up all this time...
