Thanks! Good to see you around too!
The plan wasn't to copy you if that is what you want to hint. The RaceLook lip never made it on last year with my bodyshop issues and tight show schedule, so I left it until the season ended. I still have the lip but not sure if it'll go on anymore as I plan to go lower and want to avoid anything fiberglass. But if you feel you must take some credit, then as you please! Then again, most Coupes end up looking the same on here anyways so I'm not sure why you would get so caught up in the whole "who is copying who" game.

Anyways, moving onto some big boy things. Finally found a chance to put the new wheel in. The difference is night and day! I didn't include a pic of the complete finished product as I was so excited that I forgot to take a shot of the setup AFTER I treated and conditioned the leather on the new wheel to match the airbag... but still a nice step forward to completing the new look for this year.

i'm glad to hear you're keeping the car and moving forward with mods...
motivates me to keep mine.
question (since we have the same exhaust set-up - kleemann headers/cat & remus): do you have a secondary OEM CAT on your m271?
i had to delete mine since it went bad and hate the way my car sounds... so am seeking advice on how to fix it. my bullet resonator isn't taking out the "buzz"

Didn't know you had a slushbox. Shame on you!
How is tracking with it? Do you just let it do its business, or are you manually kicking it down when appropriate?

Yes, you are correct. I don't have the evolution package which is a shame. Don't let the painted door handles fool you, I had to get those done when the car was repainted the first time.

I am running the exact same set-up as you but with the stock secondary. I was actually planning to take it out this Summer so I'm really happy you mentioned it. I would hate to have the "buzz" as well. Do you have any sound clips of what your set-up currently sounds like?

Ya the truth is out. It's manageable on the track but obviously could be better. I try to use it for what it is but the problem about it not able to hold gears still exists.

I hope you decide to keep your Coupe.

on the plus side, my car picks up a lot more than it used to. throttle response is at it's best.

i'll try to make one this weekend. i'm hoping its just a heat shield issue... but i've had heat shield rattle before and this sounds more like an even buzz through fast acceleration.

Did you ever run a test pipe or always had an aftermarket resonator when the stock one crapped out?

1. Kleemann Headers / Kleemann CAT - OEM 2ndary CAT - OEM Resonator - REMUS Muffler
SOUND: quiet
VIBRATION: not noticeable
RESPONSIVENESS: great
2. Kleemann Headers / Kleemann CAT - OEM 2ndary CAT - OEM Resonator DELETED - REMUS Muffler
SOUND: no noticable change
VIBRATION: slight vibration at certain RPM
RESPONSIVENESS: same
3. Kleemann Headers / Kleemann CAT - OEM 2ndary CAT - BULLET RESONATOR - REMUS Muffler
SOUND: still quiet
VIBRATION: no difference
RESPONSIVENESS: same
4 (current). Kleemann Headers / Kleemann CAT - OEM 2ndary CAT DELETED - BULLET RESONATOR - REMUS Muffler
SOUND: much louder during acceleration only & when vibration peaks throughout RPM
VIBRATION: pretty constant through out RPM, with few peaks throughout range
RESPONSIVENESS: better
I still need to look under the car, but my guess is that it's coming from the rear if its a heatshield issue. once I get around to it and make progress I'll let you know.

I think I can chime in on this....a couple months ago I had this rattling sounds so i took it in to a shop n they said my 2ndary CAT was dead cut it off and welded an aftermarket on...rattling was still there so they found out some bolts were loose around the 1st CAT got that tightened and then rattling was still there I took it to another the shop and found out one the bolts that holds the pipe was gone just got that replaced and the rattling disappeared but I hear a slight buzz when I accelerate and it's annoying so I think its the removal of the 2ndary CAT that's causing the buzz but have to agree the revs hold up better...but soo pissed my 2ndary CAT was fine got ripped off leavin me with an annoying buzz

You still have your resonator, right?
