Yeah I still have the resonator..I think it should be okay when you remove the 2ndary CAT and replace it with a straight pipe. The guy at the shop said something about the pipe for the 2ndary CAT might be a double pipe so maybe the buzz is coming from the inner pipe???

What do you have in mind for the new setup?
I'm also starting to hear an exhaust leak coming from the donut between the Kleemann dp and cat... again. Just wondering if you guys are also experiencing the same thing. May be time to get in contact with Cory again for a replacement.

Okay nevermind, no help there.
Have you guys had to replace the donut or hardware on your setups? I've tried everything to get this darn exhaust leak to stop and I'm hitting a brick wall here.

i've had leaks at the interface between the headers and primary cat a couple times. the first time was because the bolts loosened and a couple flew off. i switched to copper ones which supposedly lock more securely, but i've had to tighten them about once or twice a year to keep the seal. next them they loosen... i'm going to put some locktite or some other reinforcement.

hopefully its a simple fix for you too

I've actually resorted to using lock washers on the ends as well which helped a lot. However, Cory did mention the nuts should be replaced over time as they gradually change from oval back to a round shape and lose the ability to stay snug. Looks like another project later to find out how to keep those nuts and bolts tight when I can have the car rolling again.

Maybe consider doing a cut off? A butterfly valve running on an electric high durability motor that is attached to the end of a dump pipe. Allows you to bypass the resonator and muffler. To avoid any loss of hp those bring down, and to get a more aggressive sound that is controllable with a switch . I just stumbled upon this after soo long haha

You definitely got me hooked on the idea for that toe lol I was thinking about it but figured.. Not on a Benz.. But he'll yeah!

The progress on the car has been slow and I’m having trouble getting it to start again so I’ll have to figure out what the deal is when I have more time. Anyways, the replacement screen for the instrument cluster finally came in the mail today so I decided to pop it in right away to make sure everything worked. The previous screen was starting to fade like all the other W/CL203′s out there so it was about time to have it replaced. This was my first time taking apart the cluster so it was kind of interesting as I was picking up new things along the whole way, and also decided to touch up some of the other areas a bit while I had the casing open.

I’ve already jumped the gun in this shot and had the cluster out already. It took me a little while to try and have it out as smoothly as possible without scratching my new steering wheel.

Moving on to disassembly.

Carefully removed the old screen and getting ready to place in the new screen.

Here is the screen bezel that I thought was starting to get a little bland and could use a little brushing up.

Color is metallic silver and is really bright under the sun. Too bad I couldn’t capture the flake in this shot.

While waiting for the paint to dry, I moved on to quickly make sure the screen was able to power up and flip through all the menus. And it works!

Still waiting for the paint to dry so I thought I’d share a picture of my removal tools I made with a coat hanger.

Quick mock up of the new screen and new bezel.

Cleaned the lens pretty well on both sides while I had the casing open and closed everything back up.

The finished product. Notice there is a black vertical row on the left side of the LCD screen which was also the same on the old screen. This is actually the LEDs in the back light that have failed but replacement will have to involve replacing the rest of the cluster with a new unit which isn’t really worth the time and money on these cars anymore. Luckily it isn’t too bad and there are definitely other screens out there who have it even worse. I’m just happy the darker column is along the sides and not near the middle. Overall though the new screen is a huge improvement over the previous screen and I couldn’t be more satisfied. Special thanks again to Trey for organizing the group-buy!

I wonder how it work if you put blue tint film over the screen?

It's a Renntech rear spoiler. Initially came as three pieces, then later one. Nice spoiler, mostly because I have one.

Picked it up from Brabus, actually. Was in desperate times and it seemed no one had one left so all it took was a phone call and they somehow managed to dig up the last one from the warehouse.
